CA hinarang ang appointment ni Ubial sa DOH
MANILA, Philippines – Bigong lusutan ni Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial ang Commission on Appointments matapos harangan ang kaniyang appointment sa gabinete ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Idinaan sa secret voting sa isang executive session ang botohan kay Ubial na tatlong beses dininig ng CA ang kaniyang appointment.
Ikinalungkot naman ng Palasyo ang inabot ni Ubial.
“We regret the Commission on Appointments’ non-confirmation of Department of Health Secretary Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial,” pahayag nila.
“We are deeply grateful for Sec. Ubial’s service to the Health Department and for epitomizing the President’s malasakit through her “All for Health, towards Health for All” Philippine Health Agenda. We wish Secretary Ubial well in all her future endeavors.”
Si Ubial na ang ikalimang itinalaga ni Duterte na hindi nakalusot sa CA. Unang naharang si dating Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto Yasay, Jr. at sumunod naman sina Environment Secretary Gina Lopez, Social Welfare Secretary Judy Taguiwalo at Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael Mariano.
