Pinoy fishermen pinaputukan ng Chinese Coast Guard sa West Phl Sea

MANILA, Philippines -  Pinaputukan ng ‘warning shot’ ng Chinese Coast Guard ang mga mangingisdang Pinoy para ipagtabuyan nag mga ito sa West Philippine Sea (South China Sea).

Sinabi ni AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Eduardo Año, nakarating na sa kaniya ang balita sa nasabing harassment at kasalukuyan na niya itong pinabeberipika kay AFP Western  Command Commander Lt. Gen. Raul del Rosario.

“We are still validating that story. We also heard that but its hard to give an official statement without getting first the facts and verifying the alleged incident,” sabi ni Año.

Base sa report, nag­reklamo ang isang grupo ng mga mangingisda mula sa Mariveles, Bataan matapos umano silang palibutan ng speedboat ng Chinese Coast Guard malapit sa Union Reef o Union Bank sa West Philippine Sea saka paputukan ng warning shots para palayasin.

Ang insidente ay nangyari umano may ilang araw na ang nakakalipas pero kahapon lamang lumutang matapos na makauwi na sa kanilang tahanan ang mga hinaras na mangingisda.

Nagsasagawa ng ma­ritime construction site sa nasabing lugar ang Chinese Coast Guard kaya bantay sarado ito.

Magugunita na mara­ming beses na ring dumanas ng pambu-bully ang mga mangingisdang Pinoy na pinauulanan ng water cannon ng Chinese Coast Guard sa Panatag Shoal (Scarborough Shoal) sa West Philippine Sea.

Pero noong 2016 ay nagwagi ang isinampang reklamo ng Pilipinas sa Permanent Court of Arbitration sa United Nations pero nagmatigas ang China na kilalanin ang nasabing ruling.
