De Lima, 17 pa kinasuhan ng NBI

MANILA, Philippines - Sinampahan na ng National Bureau of Investigation ng kasong paglabag sa Dangerous Drugs Act at Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices si Sen. Leila de Lima at 17 iba pa kaugnay ng talamak na bentahan ng droga sa loob ng New Bilibid Prison.

Matapos ang halos dalawang buwan, isinagawa ang preliminary investigation laban kay de Lima dahil sa paglabag sa Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act , qualified bribery at Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

Maging ang paglabag sa “An Act Punishing the Receiving and Giving of Gifts of Public Officials and Employees” ay isinampa sa senadora na dating kalihim ng DOJ.

Nahaharap naman sa kasong direct bribery sina dating Bureau of Corrections chief Franklin Jesus Bucayu; dating Justice Undersecretary Francisco Baraan III; dating Bucor officer-in-charge Rafael Ragos; dating security aide at miyembro ng Presidential Security Group na si Joenel Sanchez; dating driver at bodyguard  ni de Lima na si Ronnie Dayan; close-in aide ni Ragos at NBI agent Jovencio Ablen Jr.; bagman ni Bucayu na si Wilfredo Elli; DOJ employee na si Jesusa Francisco; Lyn Sagum na personal assistant ni de Lima nuong siya ay nasa DOJ pa; Julius Rejuso at Alias George.

Kasama rin sa mga inireklamo ang mga high profile inmate na sina Jaybee Sebastian; Herbert Colangco; Engelbert Durano; Vicente Sy; Wu Tuan Yuan alyas Peter Co at Jojo Baligad 

Pinagbatayan ng NBI ang pagsasampa ng reklamo sa sworn statements, documents at testimonya ng mga resource persons, kabilang na ang mga inmates.

Sinasabing sa droga galing ang campaign fund ni de Lima nang tumakbo ito noong nakaraang eleksiyon.
