Showtime, naiba kay John

Wow, ha, Salve A.

No less than pala ABS-CBN Production head, Cory Vidanes, assigned former child actor John Prats to direct the Kapamilya’s popular noontime show, It’s Showtime.

No need to tell, Salve A., that It’s Showtime former director, Bobet Vidanes, now with TV5, is Ma’am Cory’s husband.

And how’s John as director of It’s Showtime?

“Well,” anang isang member ng production staff, “Biglang nagkaroon ng kakaibang energy ang show. Lalo pa nga at direk John gave all of us in the staff the freedom to make suggestions.”

No doubt that the current It’s Showtime is getting good feedback from its viewers. Lalo’t ang bagong segment nitong Madlang Pi-POLL.

As of the moment, may close to 50,000 viewers na ang nabanggit na segment.

Nanatili pa rin paborito ng viewers ang segment na Reina Ng Tahanan at Tawag Ng Tanghalan.

Well, direk John and Ma’am Cory, congrats and keep up the good job.

Humihirit ng apo!

Present at the wedding nina Angel Locsin and now her husband, businessman and TV-film producer, Neil Arce held at the Municipal Hall of Taguig and officiated by Mayor Lino Cayetano, last July 26, was no less than Angel’s 94 year old dad, Angelo Colmenares.

And his reported supreme wish kay Angel is for her and Neil to give him an apo, agad.

Which, of course, we all know, siya ring wish ni Angel.

Angel is the middle child of Papa Colmenares’ three children.

The youngest of whom is a boy.

Cassy, excited sa First Yaya part 2

Magkakaroon daw ng Part 2 ang series na First Yaya, where Sanya Lopez played the title role and Gabby Concepcion, as Presidente ng Pilipinas.

Now guess kung sino diumano ang tuwang-tuwa, bukod, of course, kina Sanya at Gabby, sa balita?

Well, Carmina Villarroel at Zoren Legaspi’s daughter, Cassy, 20, who played the eldest daughter ni Gabby.

Naging very close raw kasi si Cassy sa kanyang naging co-stars, especially sa kanyang leading man na si Joaquin Domagoso, also in his 20’s and the son of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

Bagay sina Cassy at Joaquin, kaya, sa mga eksena nila together, kilig ang kanilang co-stars.

Busy at the moment din ang kakambal ni Cassy na si Mavy, who has a new soap himself, I Left My Heart In Sorsogon, topbilled by Heart Evangelista, Paolo Contis at Richard Yap.

May ka-partner si Mavy sa I Left… ang kae-18 years old na si Kyline Alcantara.

Of Kyline, she is a model, endorser, singer and, of course, now actress.

Napanood na siya sa Kambal, Karibal, where medyo hindi mabait ang kanyang role.

But after I Left…, nakatitiyak daw si Kyline that her career will turn in full bloom.

Kahit daw si Mavy agrees, na “ultra magnetic” ang charm ni Kyline. At magaling din daw itong artista, dagdag pa ni Mavy.
