Confirmed na ngang currently filming ang story ng life ni Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, with actor-director-producer Xian Lim playing him and direk Joven Tan at the helm.

Now, guess kung kanino in-entrust ang role ni Master Showman German Moreno, known in his time as Kuya Germs, na malaki ang papel for what Mayor Isko has become, lalo’t as public figure.

We all know, of course, kung anong klaseng buhay meron dati si Mayor Isko, lalo’t noong kanyang kabataan.

To help augment his poor family’s income, namumulot siya ng basura at ipinagbibili ito.

Until talent scout Wowie Roxas discovered him and brought him kay Kuya Germs.

The rest, kumbaga, is history.

Now, as to who will play Kuya Germs in Mayor Isko’s movie, well, we heard, it will be Janno Gibbs.

No need to tell you that Janno, whose dad is equally noted actor Ronaldo Valdez, is a noted actor-comedian, plus a singer and songwriter.

By the way, huwag na nating ungkatin ang controversy ongoing between Janno and Kitkat.

Baka, kung buhay si Kuya Germs, warningan tayong walang tulugan.

Rachel at Carlos, 10 years na ang pagsasama

Do you know na in their earlier years in showbiz, na-link sa isa’t isa sina Rachel Alejandro at Dingdong Avanzado?

Na-mention namin ito, dahil nabalita ngang 10 years nang married si Rachel sa asawang si Carlos Santamaria.

For their wedding anniversary, pumunta ng Hawaii ang mag-asawa, as it is Rachel’s favorite place raw.

Samantala, may 16-year old daughter na si Dingdong with wife, Jessa Zaragoza, na nasa showbiz na rin.

We are referring, of course, to Jayda Avanzado, popular singer and recording star.

Jayda is very pretty, too.

Napap anood nga pala tuwing Sabado si Jessa sa sitcom na Pepito Manaloto on GMA 7, kasama sina Michael V. at Manilyn Reynes.

By the way, Dingdong at Jessa just marked their 19th wedding anniversary.

KZ, suki sa Himig Handog

KZ Tandingan, who interpreted Marupok, proclaimed Best Song in the recently concluded Himig Handog competition, now on its 11th year, is equally as proud and excited as its songwriter, Danielle Balagtas.

Twenty three year old Danielle received a cash prize of P300,000, plus a house and lot, dahil sa kanyang pagkapanalo.

This is not the first time, of course, that KZ’s interpretation of a Himig Handog entry, won for its songwriter a prize. Yes, first prize rin.

In 2014, of course, the winning entry was Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako, composed by Edwin Marollano, likewise, had KZ for interpreter.

Like Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako, Marupok will be, too, in an album KZ is currently preparing.

All in all daw, there were close to 400 entries.
