Heart, nasa dugo ang galing sa pagluluto

Heart, nasa dugo ang galing sa pagluluto
Heart

Did you hear, Salve A., about Heart Evangelista having a recipe daw for a simple lumpia, but one to die for?

Own concoction daw ni Heart, who, in real life, ay maybahay ni former senator at ngayon ay governor na ng Sorsogon, si Chiz Escudero, ang recipe.

For us, ang pagiging mahusay magluto ni Heart is not surprising. The Evangelistas, for years now, have been in the restaurant business.

They own the popular Barrio Fiesta chain of restaurants.

Happy Ongpauco-Tiu, a restaurateur herself, is her a cousin. Her dad, Rod Ongpauco, is Heart’s uncle.

For those of you nga pala who doesn’t know, Happy’s mom is the late Sampaguita Pictures actress, Liberty Ilagan.

Fondly called, Libay by her fellow Sampaguitan, Liberty, in her time, was considered one of the pretty faces of showbiz.

Mang Ramon, maraming naging karanasan sa pagnenegosyo

Speaking of Sampaguitans, we are reminded, too, of Rebecca del Rio, one time referred to, as the love of his life of the late businessman-politician, Ramon Revilla Sr.

Ramon, whose real name is Jose Acuña Bautista, started his showbiz career with Sampaguita Pictures. It was the late Dr. Jose Perez who enticed him to join showbiz.

Ganunpaman, nag-decide siya to quit showbiz, as his dream was to turn businessman. He graduated with a college degree in Business Administration.

How we were able to gather all of these about the late Ramon Sr., as the incumbent Senator Bong Revilla was named after him, Ramon Revilla Jr., is because pinanood namin from the start to finish on GMA News TV the docu about him, directed by his grandson, Bryan Revilla.

Bryan is the eldest among the children nina Sen. Bong at Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado.

Ramon Sr. died last June 26, 2020 at age 93.

He had more or less 80 children with different mothers, but all of them carried his surname.

As senator, one of the bills he created and was approved by the Senate, is allowing supposedly illegitimate children to use their father’s surname.

Rebecca nga pala died in March 2010 in Los Angeles, California.

Ramon Sr.’s legitimate wife was Azucena Mortel, former LVN star who had for her screen name, Aurora Ortiz.

Of Ramon Sr.’s docu, ang linis ng pagkakagawa, well-researched at ang ganda ng direksyon.

Marami kang malalaman sa kanyang buhay-artista, lalo na tungkol sa kanyang first starrer.

Filmed and released in 1972, the film’s title was Nardong Putik, based sa buhay ng pinaka-notorious Filipino gangster, at that time. Leonardo Manicio was his real name.

No wonder, to his death, much loved siya ng kanyang mga kababayan. Rest in peace, Ramon and Cena, too.

Happy birthday…

Personal: Happy birthday today, October 27, to Ma’am Charo Santos- Concio, whose online show sa Kumu na Dear Charo, ay nagsimula kahapon 8 p.m. where her special guests ay sina Kim Chiu at Bro. Eddie Villanueva.

Co-host niya si Robert Labayen, head, Creative Communication ng Kapamilya.
