John’s dad, the late Mel Francisco, is reportedly a cousin of Robin. Yes, he is a Padilla, too.

John’s mom, the late Ruby Regala, ay isang sexy star in her time. And very pretty, too.

Isa siyang Bicolana, who hailed in Oas, Albay.

Ruby played leading lady to former President and Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada in the movie, Vendetta Brothers, which also starred Jess Lapid, Sr. and Eddie Garcia na dinirek noong 1964 ni Armando Garces.

Ruby died at 72 in the US, January 2020.
