Sayang Salve A., that we didn’t get the chance na ma-interview si Sophie Albert sa Christmas party ng GMA-7 for the entertainment press.

Si Sophie kasi ang nag-host ng program, which was held together with Tetay at Betong Sumaya na parehong mga komedyante. Marami kasi sana kaming gustong itanong sa kanya.

Foremost of which ay ang napapabalitang ‘magbubukas’ muli ang TV5, ang dating network where she belonged.

Product kasi siya ng Artista Academy search para sa mga bagong talent, organized by the network which was headed by Manny Pangilinan.

Another question din, how she finds working with the Kapuso talents, lalo na with Alden Richards, as she is now part of the cast ng seryeng The Gift kung saan kasama niya rin sina Betong at Tetay.

The two of them, however, have yet to work together on a showbiz project, na mahihirapan pang mangyari since Kris is more into social media.

One should not forget, too, that Kris is mother to two sons, Joshua at Bimby.

Wow, congratulations to Direk Jun Lana, who won bilang best director sa 2019 Tallin Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia, for his coming of age movie, Kalel, 15.

The film is about the HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), which is the current concern of our health officials.

Based on current report, they are getting more and more at mas maraming Filipino males ang afflicted with HIV.

Kalel, 15 which features in the lead Elijah Canlas, is about 15-year-old, Kalel, who gets diagnosed with HIV, kaya kailangang mag-decide what to do with himself.

The film also include in the cast Jaclyn Jose, Cedrick Juan, Elora Espanto at the late Eddie Garcia.

Her performance in it won for her the best actress trophy sa 2019 Cairo International Film Festival, held in Cairo, Egypt.

Mindanao, which is a film written and directed by Brillante Mendoza, won also a trophy for best artistic contribution.

Judy Ann regrets that she was unable to attend the event, as she is the only other Filipino actress who won such honor sa naganap na 2019 Cairo Filmfest.

The first actress, who won  naman the same award in the same film festival was Nora Aunor, noong 1995 for the Philippine entry, The Flor Contemplacion Story.

It was Judy Ann’s leading man, Allen Dizon, in Mindanao, who received the trophy for her.

“I’ll treasure this, well. Like all of my other awards,” ani Juday while clutching the award.

What if she also win a best actress trophy sa MMFF? “Wow, that would be a bonus pag nagkataon. A Christmas bonus, that is,” susog pa ni Juday.

The 45th MMFF will run from December 25, 2019 to January 7, 2020, na officially magsisimula on December 22, Sunday, with the traditional annual Parade of Stars, to be held this time sa City of Taguig.

Ang Gabi ng Parangal will happen on December 27 at the New Frontier Theater.
