Ysabel Ortega at home na sa GMA

MANILA, Philippines — Ganap nang Kapuso ang aktres at tinaguriang showbiz royalty na si Ysabel Ortega matapos niyang pumirma ng management contract sa GMA Artist Cen-ter noong Huwebes, Setyembre 26.

Nagmula sa isang kilalang pamilya sa industriya, pamilyar na si Ysabel sa buhay-artista. Ibinahagi niya na ang kanyang mga magulang na sina action star-Senator Lito Lapid at singer-actress Michelle Ortega ang mga nagsilbing inspirasyon at humulma sa kaniyang talent sa pagpe-perform.

Kuwento ni Ysabel, “I grew up watching their movies and television shows and na-inspire ako. ‘Yung mommy ko, lagi ko pong pinapanood ‘yung mga videos niya online sa That’s Entertainment, especially ‘pag kumakanta siya. I idolize my mommy ‘pag kumakanta siya. Syempre, ‘yung daddy ko po, ‘yung mga action film niya.

“I’m taking it as a challenge, I’m not pressured because my family is very supportive in what I do. Before, sobrang shy lang po ako but they helped me come out of my shell. What I love po about them is, kahit na I make mistakes, they teach me, they guide me, and they’re very supportive and I think it’s really good to have that foundation,” dagdag pa ng aktres.

Dumalo sa kanyang contract signing sina GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, GMA Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, GMA Artist Center Senior Talent Manager Daryl Zamora, at ang ina ni Ysabel at co-manager na si Michelle Ortega-Pimentel.

Para sa kauna-unahan niyang proyekto sa Kapuso Network, kabilang si Ysabel sa cast ng GMA Telebabad series na The Gift bilang si Sabina Villegas, ang half-sister ni Sep na ginagampanan ni Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards na may pagka-brat ngunit mapagmahal na anak ni Nadia (Jean Garcia) sa naging pangalawang pamilya nito.

Malaki ang pasasalamat ni Ysabel sa tiwalang ipinagkaloob sa kaniya ng GMA.

“I’m very grateful na ito ang first project ko. Sobrang light lang palagi ‘yung taping, maganda ‘yung chemistry ng lahat. Dito sa GMA, I want to prove myself talaga and I want to show them kung gaano ako ka-passionate sa pag-arte at sa craft ko na ito.”

Bukod sa pagiging isang mahusay na aktres, full-time student din si Ysabel na may kursong Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy sa University of Asia and the Pacific.

Samantala, hanga naman si Rasonable sa ta-lent ni Ysabel at looking forward siya sa iba pang future projects nito, “She dabbles into singing so maganda ring subukan natin siya doon. Of course, we have to hone her more sa side ng acting because she really wants to be a good actress someday but she’s well on her way there.”
