On September 13 naman is the start ng Pista Ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), chaired by Liza Diño-Seguerra.

Seven feature films, plus three pelikula to showcase the Isang Daang Taon ng Pelikulang Pilipino, will be shown for a period of one week in nearly 100 theaters all over the country.

The seven feature entries include Cuddle Weather, directed by Rod Marmol, starring Sue Ramirez at RK Bagatsing. Producers are San Joaquin projects and Regal Entertainment.

— LSS (Last Song Syndrome, directed by Jade Castro. A production of Globe Studios in association with Dokimas Media Inc., and Ben & Ben, the cast include Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos.

— The Panti Sisters, directed by Jun Robles Lana and starring Paolo Ballesteros, Christian Bables at Martin del Rosario. Producers are IdeaFirst Company, Inc., Black Sheep and ALV Film Productions.

— G! directed by Dondon Santos and starring McCoy de Leon, Jameson Blake, Paolo Angeles and Mark Oblea. Producer is Cineko Productions.

— I’m Ellenya L, starring Inigo Pascual at Maris Racal, marks the first directorial job of Boy 2 Quizon. Producers are Spring Films, N2 Productions and Cobalt Entertainment.

— Open, directed by Andoy Ranay, starring JC Santos at Arci Muñoz.

Producers are T-Rex Entertainment and Black Sheep.

—  Watch Me Kill, a production of Cine Bandits Entertainments, it has Tyrone Acierto.

The cast include Jean Garcia, Jay Manalo, Junyka Santarin at Rodolfo.

Now the PPP Sandaan Showcase: Circa, directed by Adolf Alix, Jr., starring Anita Linda, Gina Alajar, Laurice Guillen, Elizabeth Oropesa, Ricky Davao and Enchong Dee. Producers are Noble Wolf, ABAJ Film Productions, Swift Productions and RSVP Film Studios.

— Lola Igna, directed by Eduardo Roy, Jr., starring Yves Flores, Meryll Soriano, Maria Isabel Lopez and Ms. Angie Ferro. Producers are ERT Productions and EMBA, Inc.

— Pagbalik, directed by Hubert Tibi at Maria Ranillo.

The cast include the mother and daughter team of Gloria Sevilla and Suzette Ranillo, Plus Vince Ranillo.

In her younger years, Gloria was known as the Queen of Visayas Films.

Direk Cathy nagmamadali nang magbabu sa ‘Pinas
