High level din ang dinaluhang meeting, Pia pinasalamatan ng ministers and directors ng UN!

Um-attend si Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach ng isang high level meeting sa United Nations (UN) General Assembly noong nakaraang June 8.

Ang naturang pagtitipon ay tungkol sa usapin ng AIDS. Dinaluhan din iyon ng heads of State and Government, ministers, people living with HIV, representatives from civil society and international organizations, the private sector, scientists and researchers.

Masaya si Pia dahil ni-represent niya ang mga Pinoy at mga miyembro ng LGBT community sa buong mundo.

Kabilang nga sa advocacy ni Pia ay ang extensive research at education sa sakit na HIV.

Tulad nga sa nangyari sa kanyang Q&A portion ng Miss Universe, pinahayag ni Pia ang kanyang desire na makarating sa maraming kabataan ngayon ang tungkol sa sakit na AIDS.

“If I were to be Miss Universe, I will use my voice to influence the youth and I would raise awareness to certain causes like HIV awareness that is timely and relevant to my country…” ang siyang naging sagot ni Pia noon.

Nag-post nga si Pia ng mga naganap sa kanyang pag-attend ng meeting sa UN.

“Spent the day at the #UnitedNations High-Level Meeting on Ending AIDS. It was an afternoon of panels and conversations on the importance of a Fast-Track approach.

“Look what I found! Proud to represent my fellow country men but most especially the LGBT community from all over the world.

“I have all of you in my mind as I attend today’s meetings for HIV/AIDS.

“I represent the Philippines and the rest of the Universe. I’m so humbled to be congratulated and thanked by highly respected ministers and directors from all over the world. There’s still much to learn but words and promise are just words without actions, right? I am your student #UnitedNations.”

Mark na-bash sa wheelchair

Kawawa naman ang singer na si Mark Bautista dahil na-bash siya ng netizens dahil sa pagpuna lang niya ng kakulangan ng wheelchairs sa East Avenue Medical Center.

Nag-tweet nga si Mark bilang pagdepensa niya sa kanyang nais na maging maasikaso naman ang mga tauhan ng naturang government hospital lalo na sa mga patient doon na nangangailangan ng medical attention.

“First of all, I was referring to an entity not to a certain individual.

“I understand that it’s a government hospital that’s why my tweet was just a cry to call their attention that a simple equipment like a wheelchair should be added to their emergency rooms, not just for my dad but for other people who will also be experiencing a near death situation,” tweet pa ni Mark.

Na-confine kasi roon sa naturang ospital ang kanyang ama kaya nakita niya ang sitwasyon doon.

Hindi naman daw nagagalit si Mark sa naturang ospital, pinasalamatan pa nga raw niya ang mga doktor at nurses na nag-asikaso sa kanyang amang may sakit.

“But hindi ibig sabihin dahil “government-owned” kulang or inefficient or substandard and intindihin na lang.

“Kung para sa publiko, ibigay din natin ang para sa publiko.

“But I would like to commend the nurse and the doctor who took care of my dad that moment.

“Mabuhay kayo. It just saddens me that not all people can understand my point.”

Sa takot kay James Bret mas binoto si Jennylyn kesa kay Nadine

Hindi maitago ng Viva artist na si Bret Jackson ang kanyang pagkakaroon ng crush kay Jennylyn Mercado.

Noong nakaraang taon ay inamin ni Bret na sinuportahan niya si Jen para ma­ging number one sa FHM Sexiest Woman.

Ngayon ay gano’n na naman ang kanyang ginagawa para kay Jen.

Inamin niya na binoto niya si Jen bilang FHM Philippine Sexiest at hindi si Nadine Lustre, na ka-loveteam at girlfriend ng kanyang best friend na si James Reid.

Sa isang tweet ni Bret patungkol sa pagboto niya kay Jen, unang rason niya ay dahil “I love her” at ang pangalawang rason ay “help James calm down”.

Hindi nga raw natutuwa si James na biglang umakyat sa number one spot ng FHM Sexiest si Nadine. Gusto niyang malaman kung sino ang nagsimula nito dahil hindi raw siya pabor na maging sexy si Nadine sa mata ng maraming lalake.

Nabanggit na noon ni Bret na may conservative side si James at very protective ito sa kanyang nagiging girlfriend.
