Na-out grow na nga ba ng Beauty and the Bestie ang kinita sa takilya ng A Second Chance?

Both produced by Star Ci­nema, which Malou Santos manages, Beauty and the Bestie, which starred together for the first time Vice Ganda and Coco Martin, was one of the entries ng nabanggit na production sa katatapos na Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

A Second Chance ay lead stars sina John Lloyd Cruz at Bea Alonzo.

Kung sabagay, no need to argue which between the two films is the higher grosser, as to date, itinuturing ang A Second Chance as the highest grossing film ever na hindi MMFF entry.

In the case of Beauty and the Bestie, it’s the third film entry ng Star Cinema na nag-top grosser sa MMFF. And all of which starred Vice Ganda and have Wenn Deramas as director.

In 2013, the highest MMFF grossing film was Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy. The 2014 MMFF top grosser naman was the Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin.

Well, take a triple bow, Malou. And of course, Vice Ganda and Direk Wenn.

Boy Abunda impressed sa anak nina Jessa at Dingdong!

Ang ganda ng 12 year-old daughter nina Jessa Zaragoza at Dingdong Avanzado, both singers, until Dingdong turned politician and proved successful naman, na si Jayda Avanzado.

Articulate ang bata, in both English and Tagalog. Astig na astig sa mga sagot niya sa bawat tanong ni Boy Abunda, when she and her mom guested in the latter’s show on ABS-CBN, Tonight With Boy Abunda (TWBA).

No wonder na hindi lang aliw na aliw sa kanya si Boy, obvious na impressed din ito.

Puwedeng-puwede siyang artista, kung gugustuhin niya at nina Jessa at Dingdong. But she apparently already has the blessings of her parents that she follows their footsteps as a singer, at her age, she already sings like professional.

Tonight, at the Music Museum, Jayda performs with her mom Jessa at the latter’s concert. She will do a duet with her.

Then on January 30, she will do opening act for the concert of the U.S. boyband, the Vamps.

From Jessa, in her interview with Boy, revealed Dingdong’s reason for not running for any elected position in the government this coming election. It was daw a mutual decision on their part, kahit pa alam daw nila that if Dingdong would run for re-election as vice governor of Siquijor, mananalo ito.

But as Jessa explained, personal ang dahilan ng naging desisyon nila tungkol sa political career ni Dingdong. Foremost of which is their desire to have another baby.

Regine pinipigilan si Angeline na patikim kay Erik

Kahit si Regine Velasquez-Alcasid ay agreed sa desisyon ni Angeline Quinto na huwag muna itong makipag-sex kay Erik Santos, hangga’t di pa sila ikinakasal.

Insistent daw kasi si Erik, Angeline revealed to members of the entertainment media during the presscon for their upcoming pre-Valentine concert at the MOA (Mall of Asia Arena) on February 13, with Martin Nievera na isuko na niya ang bataan.

But as Regine suggested to Angeline, habang kaya pa, huwag muna.

May soft spot si Regine for Angeline, who claims she has been a fan of Regine since she was very young.

She, in fact, still keeps an album of Regine’s photos and news items na ginupit niya sa iba’t ibang babasahin.
