Baron ayaw nang bumalik sa pagiging adik

YSTAR - Baby E - Pang-masa

Once an addict, always an addict nga ba?

“It was hell,” ani Baron, describing his life sa loob ng rehab. “Na siyang naging dahilan din, kung bakit, ginusto kong gumaling sa aking addiction.

“And never to return to the old habit again.”

Baron has just completed his last project for ABS-CBN, Natahaniel, where he earned kudos for his role as a “devil in disguise”. The series allowed him to work with Coney Reyes, Gerald Aderson, Shaina Magdayao, Pokwang and Marco Masa, na gumanap na anghel sa Nathaniel.

He now frequently appears in guest roles sa mga show ng Kapamilya, the last of which was the sitcom Home Sweetie Home, which allowed him to work anew with former Tabing-Ilog co-star, John Lloyd Cruz.

Claudine wala sa planong palitan si Raymart

Somehow, inamin na ni Claudine Barretto na mahihirapan na sila ng dating asawang si Raymart Santiago, na ‘mabuong’ muli as husband and wife, kahit pa, alang-alang man lang sa kanilang dalawang anak na sina Sabina at Santino.

Yet, wala raw siyang balak makipagrelasyon sa iba. Or, even entertain would-be-suitors.

She wants to focus her attention this time to her children and, of course, her showbiz career.

Na-inspired daw siya sa big success, lalo na sa box-office ng kanyang comeback movie na Etiquette for Mistresses, co-starring her with Kris Aquino, Iza Calzado, Chenna Crab at Kim Chiu.

Directed by Chito Roño and produced by Star Cinema. Etiquette….,  reportedly grossed a cool P15-M sa opening day noong Wednesday.

Obvious na there’s no turning back na ang pagtakbo for Senator ni Alma Moreno in the 2016 elections.

No doubt, too, that Alma, once upon a time the sexiest actress in local cinema has prepared herself for the position. Three terms din siyang naging konsehal ng first district ng Parañaque City. And during her term, naka-focus siya sa pag-empower, lalo na sa mga kababaihan, bilang partners for economic development.

Alma’s other advocacies include tourism, health, the elderly and environment.

“We should protect it,” sabi ni Alma referring sa ating environment. “It’s God gift to us.

“And we are what we are because of our environment,” pahayag pa ni Alma.

A former First Lady of Parañaque City, when she was still married to comedian Joey Marquez, who served the city as Mayor for 12 years. Alma is still the President and Chairman of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL), considered the biggest leagues in the country with 16,722 Councilors as members.

At huwag isnabin si Alma tungkol sa kanyang educational attainments, as she is now a holder of a degrees in Political Science. Current she is attending leadership training in a reputable school.

Asked if she doesn’t miss showbiz, ang sagot ni Alma: “I do. But, foremost with me now ay ang makapaglingkod sa bayan. At makatulong sa pagbuti ng buhay nating mga Pilipino.”

Well, good luck, Alma.

Happy birthday…

Personal: Happy natal day to Chit Guererro, isa sa mga executives ng ABS-CBN.

More power and God bless Chit.
