Pelikula tungkol kay Pope Francis, inirerekomenda ng MTRCB
MANILA, Philippines – “This is an opportunity for us to know him, his struggles, his triumphs, his joys.” Ito ay ang paghihikayat ng Chairperson ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) na si Atty. Eugenio “Toto” Villareal na buong-pusong kilalanin si Pope Francis sa pamamagitan ng upcoming film na Papa Francisco: The Pope Francis Story.
Sa ginanap na special movie screening sa SM Megamall Cinema 3 noong Setyembre 17, inanyayahan ni Chair Toto ang lahat na paigtingin ang kanilang pagmamahal para sa Santo Papa. “I have been taught that we should love the Pope with that real love of a son or daughter for a father. Use this occasion to formulate a resolution or two in regard to our love for the Pope,” pahayag niya.
PG-rating ang nakuha ng nasabing pelikula na ire-release locally ng Pioneer Films. Ang kuwento ay umiikot sa buhay ng Jesuit Father na si Jorge Bergoglio bilang pari at ang pagkakahalal sa kanya bilang Santo Papa. Ito ay mapapanood sa mga sinehan simula Setyembre 30.
“This film offers us a picture of, and inspired on, the man who in now Pope Francis. The strengths and weaknesses will be there, as will be the triumphs and joys,” sabi ni Villareal. “It’s a fitting follow-up doon sa ginawang pagbisita ng Santo Papa sa atin early this year,” dagdag niya.
Ang aktor mula sa Argentina na si Dario Grandinetti ang gaganap bilang Pope Francis sa pelikula. “Very poignant and very human ang portrayal dito. Makikita rin yung kanyang malasakit, yung tinatawag na mercy and compassion sa ating mga kapwa,” bahagi niya.
Present din sa movie screening sina Bishop Hubert Mylo Vergara ng CBCP Episcopal Commission on Social Communications, ang Presidente at COO ng Radio Veritas na si Rev. Fr. Anton Pascual, ang Presidente ng Catholic Media Network na si Rev. Fr. Francis Lucas, si Sr. Consolata Manding, FSP ng CBCP Cinema, at sina Karenina at Karla Yoluque ng Pion?eer Films.
