Pamilya Gutierrez may mga rebelasyong nakakawindang
If followers of the first season of the reality show, It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez, took the series as engaging and gusty, well, ang second season nito is bolder, bigger, and, undoubtedly better.
For one, if in its first season, It Takes Gutz… had for director Emmy award-winning producer, Mike Carandang, sa second season, highly acclaimed and accomplished Australian director, Karen Appathurai Wiggins is at the helm.
Well, ngayon pa lang, according to Direk Wiggins, she will pressure all members of the Gutierrez family to discuss more pressing and challenging issues not just about themselves individually, pero bilang pamilya rin.
And guess what, Salve A., madaragdagan ang cast ng series, since, bukod kina Eddie, Annabelle and kids, Raymond, Richard, and Ruffa (plus her daughters Lorin and Venice), makakasama na rin sina Elvis at girlfriend nitong si Alexa Uichico, pati ang girlfriend ni Richard na si Sarah Lahbati at anak nilang si Zion.
I bet you, Salve A., magiging attraction ng series si Zion, na at home na sa camera.
This time, too, it’s not just NBC Universal producing the show. The Gutierrez family have themselves invested quite a sum sa production, para lang ma-assure nila na ma-improve lalo ang production value nito.
Which NBC Universal Vice-President for Channels in Asia Pacific Scott Mackenzie, didn’t find surprising. Para sa kanya, the Gutierrez is showbiz royalty. And there’s no question that they are looked up to sa bansa.
Kaya any news, bad or good, is welcomed by everyone. They welcomed lalo ang pangyayari via the series, they are able na maki-share sa kanilang laughter, the pain they may feel at higit sa lahat, sila as a family and individuals.
It Takes Gutz… Season Two will premiere on E! Channel on October 5, Sunday, 9: p.m.
Iza sinabi na ang totoong rason ng pagtanggi sa Kubot at Bonifacio
Iza Calzado said the real reason why she begged off from replacing Lovi Poe in Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2 is not because she somehow has an idea na ‘di gaanong magiging mahaba ang role niya sa pelikula, since two days lang siya magsu-shooting, kung hindi wala raw siyang time.
As it is, kung sabagay, lalo’t nitong mga nakaraang araw, sobra siyang busy.
Foremost, she had to help promote the movie, Maria Leonora Teresa, kung saan kasama siya sa cast, together with Jodi Sta. Maria and Zanjoe Marudo.
Every other day kung mag-taping siya for her series, Hawak Kamay, with Piolo Pascual, Nikki Gil, and child stars Zaijian Jaranilla, Xyriel Manabat, Yesha Camille and Lyca Gairanod. And sometimes, inuumaga ang kanilang taping.
“I owe it to myself na magpahinga naman,” aniya. “Mahirap nang magkasakit.”
We of course, all know, too, that she also begged off playing Gabriela Silang in Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo, starring Robin Padilla in the title role.
Vina Morales replaced her.
“Consider it OA (over acting) but I think my late Dad (former choreographer and TV director Lito Calzado) is behind whatever I’ve now achieved in my career.
“Kaya, wherever you may be, Dad, salamat talaga.”
Asked if, at aged 32, marriage is in her mind, mabilis na sagot ni Iza: “Wala pa, I swear.
“And I’m glad, my boyfriend is not pressuring me to marry him na. Pero, alam niyang mahal na mahal ko siya and vice versa.”
Iza’s boyfriend is a Filipino-British, Ben Wintle.
