Golden birthday party ni Roselle dinagsa ng mga bigatin

Kumbaga sa isang movie, maituturing na blockbuster ang katatapos na birthday celebration ni Roselle Monterverde, Mother Lily’s second daughter (Meme is the eldest), and now head of the successful film firm founded and established by Roselle’s Mom, Regal Films, na ginanap sa Milky Way, Pasay Road, Monday, July 14.

As expected, most everyone in the showbiz industry, mapa-TV at pelikula were present. Halimbawa, namataan namin kaagad ang one of the most respected and well-admired executives ng ABS-CBN na si Cory Vidanes. Kasama niya ang isa sa department heads ng Network, si Leng Raymundo. Present din ang isa pang Kapamilya Production Manager na si Deo Endrinal.

From GMA 7, there were the Network’s executives, Lilybeth Rasonable, Reggie Magno Acuña, and Marivin Arayata. And from APT Entertainment, producer ng Eat Bulaga naman na si Malou Fagar.

Viva Films executive June Rufino was also present. She was with Jake Tordesillas, Creative head ng GMA 7.

Both June and Jake were seated at a table, kasama ang mga talent ma­nagers at entertainment writers, na sina Shirley Kuan, Girlie Rodis, Anna Pingol, at Allan Diones. Nasa kabilang table naman sina Salve Asis at Ian Farinas.

Sa isang table naman were Senator Grace Poe-Llamanzares, Dolor Guevarra, the Vera-Perez siblings, Ichu Maceda and Betchay Nakpil and Ichu’s daughter in-law, si Rica.

Kami naman ay napadpad sa table nina Mother Lily and her husband, Father Remy Monteverde. Kasama nila sa nasabing table rin ang anak na si Meme, na sa bayan na ng Dagupan, Pangasinan namimirmihan, dahil may negosyo sa na­­­banggit na lugar ang kanyang napanga­sawa at ang pamilya nito; ang daughter in-law ng mga Monteverdes na si Grace (asawa ng Reality Entertainment head, Dondon Monteverde) at artistahing anak ni Roselle na si Brigitte.

Two lang ang children ni Roselle, who turned exactly 50 last July 14. Her panganay, si Keith, is a lawyer and practices his profession in the U.S.

Dumating din na magkasama ang mag-asawang Direk Jun Lana at ang ‘di maglalaon ay makikilala na rin bilang director of note, ang dating TV5 entertainment head na si Perci Intalan.

Na-sight din namin ang director na si Joel Lamangan at Mel Chionglo. Ganundin si Direk Joey Javier Reyes, who is back sa Regal Films as a director and supervising producer.

Direktor siya ng upcoming movie na Somebody to Love, starring Carla Abellana at JC de Vera. Featured din si Matteo Guidicelli.

Almost all in the evening na nang makaalis kami, but we noticed na marami pang visitors ang dumarating.

Don’t look now, Salve A., but did we hear it right na ang binatang engaged to si Erich Gonzales is the nephew of a popular and ultra-rich mall owner?

Wow, ‘pag nagkataon, magiging isang tunay na Prinsesa na si Erich, yes, sa tunay na buhay. Tulad ng role na ginagampanan niya sa upcoming movie niya for Star Cinema, Once a Princess.

Once a Princess is directed by Laurice Guillen and co-stars Erich with Enchong Dee and JC de Vera.

Albert nanghihingi ng dasal para sa yumaong ina

How sad to hear that Albert Martinez and her siblings, William, Ronnie and Bernadette’s mom, Margie (Martinez) succumbed to multiple organ failure, yesterday, July 15.

Ani Albert, who is currently busy with his top-rating series, Sana Bukas pa ang Kahapon co-starring him with Bea Alonzo, at Paolo Avelino “Medyo matagal-tagal na ring naghihirap sa kanyang sari-saring sakit ang mama ko.”

‘‘Kaya, inaasahan namin na one day soon, iiwanan niya kami.

“Ganunpaman, mahirap pa ring tanggapin ang katotohanan na binawian na siya ng buhay.”

‘‘We ask prayers for her.’’

Margie is survived, too, by her husband, Albert Martinez, Sr.

Her remains now lie in state at the Heritage Memorial Chapel in Taguig City.
