Malalang child prostitution nagpanalo sa batang Pinay actress

SO...CHISMIS ITOH!? - Ruel Mendoza - Pang-masa

Napanalunan din ng naturang pelikula ang audience award sa 16th Auburn Film Festival for Children and Young Adults sa Sydney, Australia noong Sept. 16 to 20.

“With this movie we really hope to raise awareness about the sad reality of child prostitutes not only in the Philippines but all over the world.

“I started to make a documentary many years ago then I met a girl, the real Lilet, in a mental hospital one day after she tried to commit suicide.

“It was such a strong story...This story never left my mind. When I came back five months later I couldn’t find her anymore. Then I said I would do this story in a drama film. It’s not a depressing type of film because the girl I met is a tough kind of girl,” pahayag ng direktor.

“There was no politics at all in the selection process. I find the insinuations insulting.

“I am speaking in behalf of the respected selection body comprised of Jobert Arevalo, Gina Alajar, Elwood Perez, William Mayo, Joe Carreon, and Jess Navarro. We did our work professionally, responsibly, and we sat down intelligently to discuss the merits of the potential entries Thy Womb, On the Job, and Transit,” sabi ng direktor.

“Hindi naman kapani-paniwala na may lobbying against On the Job.

“Senators were in fact endorsing Thy Womb,” pag-amin pa niya.
