Departure cards sa airport, ‘di na ipatutupad simula Mayo 1 - BI

MANILA, Philippines — Inanunsyo ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) na simula sa Mayo 1, 2023 ay hindi na gagamit ng mga paper-based departure cards ang mga pasahero na paalis at papasok ng bansa sa mga paliparan.

Ayon sa BI, sa halip na paper-based arrival o departure cards ay ang full-scale eTravel system na ang kanilang ipatutupad simula Mayo 1, 2023.

Sa advisory na may petsang march 30, 2023 na naka-post sa Facebook, nakasaad na ”BI shall discontinue requiring paper-based arrival/departure cards starting 01 May 2023.”

“Travelers no longer have to fill out departure cards and instead may log in to the online portal prior to their flight,”aniya.

Kaugnay sa full-scale implementation ng eTravel system, sinabi ni eTravel technical working group chairperson Dennis Javier na simula naman sa Abril 15, ang mga papaalis na pasahero ay maaaring mag-log in sa platform (etravel.gov.ph) nang hindi lalampas sa 72 oras at hindi lalampas sa tatlong oras mula sa nakatakdang oras ng kanilang flight.

“This is a major step in streamlining documents presented by departing trave­lers, allowing for faster and more efficient immigration processing,” ani BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco.
