MANILA, Philippines — Naitala ng independent­ monitoring group na OCTA Research ang pagbaba sa mga kaso ng COVID-19 sa National Capital Region (NCR).

Ayon kay OCTA Research fellow Dr. Guido David, may naitalang 845 na bagong COVID-19 cases sa Metro Manila sa araw ng Miyerkules, Agosto 17 base sa ulat ng Department of Health (DOH).

Dahil dito, bumaba sa 1,173 ang seven-day ave­rage para sa average daily attack rate (ADAR) na 8.14.

Bumaba rin ang reproduction number sa NCR sa 1.03 hanggang Agosto 14, mula sa dating 1.18 noong Agosto 7.

Base rin sa datos hanggang Agosto 16, nasa 15.7 porsyento ang one-week COVID-19 positivity rate sa Kalakhang Maynila, mula sa 17.1 porsyento noong Agosto 9.

Nasa 37 porsyento na­man ang healthcare utilization habang 31 porsyento ang ICU occupancy hanggang Agosto 16.
