P1.295 bilyong ilegal na droga sa Cavite sinira ng PDEA
MANILA, Philippines — “We want to assure the public that all seized illegal drugs under the custody of PDEA will all be destroyed, thus allaying fears of recycling”.
Ito ang naging pahayag ni Philppine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Wilkins Villanueva matapos na wasakin kahapon ang nasa P1.295 bilyong halaga ng shabu sa Trece Martires City, Cavite sa pamamagitan ng thermal decomposition o thermolysis sa init na 1,000 degrees Celsius.
Isinagawa ito sa Integrated Waste Management facility in Barangay Aguado, Trece Martires City kung saan tinatayang 912,685.73 gramo ng shabu (crystal meth), liquid shabu, toluene, marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy, pseudoephedrine, ephedrine, opium, diazepam, nitrazepam, alprazolam, methylephedrine, ketamine, methylphenidate, at expired medicines at GBL (Gamma-Butyrolactone) ang sinira na nagkakahalaga ng nasa P1,295,050,354.
Sinaksihan naman ito ng PDEA key officials, local officials ng Barangay Aguado, Trece Martires City, representatives mula sa Philippine National Police at iba pang law enforcement agencies, Department of Justice, at Department of the Interior and Local Government, non-government organizations, at media.- Christina Timbang
