Bagong COVID-19 cases kada araw bumaba ng 56%

MANILA, Philippines — May magandang epek­to ang pagpapatuloy ng modified enhanced qua­rantine (MECQ) matapos na bumaba ng may 56 porsyento o 2,454 ang ave­rage na bilang ng bagong COVID-19 cases kada araw sa Metro Manila.

Ayon sa OCTA Reseach Team, ito ay mas mababa kaysa sa nagdaang bulto ng kaso ng nagdaang mga araw. Ang naiulat na pagbaba ay mula April 30 hanggang  May 6.

“The one-week growth rate in the NCR  was -25% from the previous week, compared to 23% and -17%  in the weeks prior,”  ayon sa OCTA.

Tinukoy pa ng grupo na ang reproduction number sa NCR ay bumaba sa  0.70 habang ang reproduction number sa bansa ay 0.86. Ang reproduction number ay bilang ng bagong kaso ng COVID na nahawa sa isang positibo sa virus.

Samantala, ang positi­vity rate o percentage ng indibidwal na napatunayang positibo sa virus ay may 16 percent mula sa ave­rage na 22,941 tests kada araw.  Ang hospital bed occupancy naman sa NCR para sa COVID-19 patients ay bumaba sa  52 percent.
