Duterte nagtalaga ng bagong BuCor chief

MANILA, Philippines — Nagtalaga na si Pa­ngulong Rodrigo Duterte ng bagong director ge­neral ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) kapalit ng sinibak nitong si Ni­canor Faeldon.

Ang itinalagang ba­gong BuCor chief ng Pa­ngulo ay si Gerald Ban­tag na nagsilbing jail warden ng Parañaque at Manila City Jails.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, napili ng Pa­ngulo si Bantag batay na rin sa professional competence at honesty nito.

“The Palace is behind the President’s decision and is confident that DG Bantag will continue the administration’s campaign against corruption as he spearheads reform initiatives in the Bureau,” wika pa ni Pa­­nelo sa isang statement.
