Tig-P500k ang mga non-medalists sa 2021 Tokyo Olympics mula sa MVPSF, POC

TOKYO — Bibigyan ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) at ng MVP Sports Foundation (MVPSF) ni Manny V. Pangilinan ang mga non-medalists ng 2021 Tokyo Olympics tig-P500,000.

“Everyone on Team Philippines in these ‘Golden Olympics’ deserves all the praises, and in this case, incentives, they need,” sabi kahapon ni POC president Abraham ‘Bambol’ Tolentino.

Ang mga tatanggap ng tig-P500,000 ay sina gymnast Carlos Yulo, pole vaulter Ernest John Obiena, boxer Irish Magno, rower Cris Nievarez, taekwondo jin Kurt Barbosa, skateboarder Margielyn Didal, shooter Jayson Valdez, judoka Kiyomi Watanabe, weightlifter Elreen Ando, golfer Juvic Pagunsan, sprinter Kristina Knott at swimmers Remedy Rule at Luke Gebbie.

Si weightlifting gold-medal winner Hidilyn Diaz ay na-ging instant millionaire sa kanyang matatanggap na total cash incentive na higit sa P35 milyon mula sa gobyerno, MVPSF, San Miguel Corp. at Deputy Speaker Mikee Romero.

Tatanggap rin ng insentibo mula sa gobyerno at sa pribadong sektor sina silver medalist Nesthy Petecio (featherweight) at bronze medalist Eumir Marcial (middleweight) ng boxing.

Lalaban naman sa gold medal round si flyweight Carlo Paalam, habang kasalukuyang humahataw sina golfers Yuka Saso at Bianca Pagdanganan.
