Jaja Santiago mangunguna sa national women’s volley team

MANILA, Philippines — Babanderahan ni Jaja Santiago ang women’s national volleyball team na sasabak sa mga international competitions kabilang na ang 2021 Southeast Asian Games sa Nobyembre sa Vietnam.

Pormal nang inihayag ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) ang national pool na binubuo ng 16 players na dumating sa tryouts noong Abril na kinabibilangan din nina SEA Games veterans Aby Maraño, Majoy Baron, Eya Laure at Mylene Paat at mga baguhang sina Iris Tolenada, Kamille Cal, Faith Nisperos, Ivy Lacsina, Mhicaela Belen, Dell Palomata, Ria Meneses, Imee Hernandez, Jennifer Nierva at Bernadette Pepito.

Sa beach volley team naman sina Sisi Rondina, Bernadeth Pons, Dzi Gervacio at Dij Rodriguez na grupo ng nakasungkit ng tansong medalya noong 2019 SEA Games. Pasok din sina Abanse Negrense players Jennifer Cosas, Alexa Polidario at Erjane Magdato at sina UST standouts Babylove Barbon, Gen Eslapor at Mer Jauculan.

Sa men’s division, muling aariba ang silver medal team sa SEA Games na sina Bryan Bagunas, Marck Espejo, Jessie Lopez, Ish Polvorosa, Josh Retamar, Mark Alfafara, Jao Umandal, John Vic de Guzman, Rex Intal, Kim Malabunga, Francis Saura, Jack Kaling-king at Ricky Marcos dagdag sina Kim Dayadante, Nico Almendras,  Ysay Marasigan, Joeven dela Vega, JP Bugaoan, Lloyd Josafat at Manuel Sumanguid.

Aariba naman sa men’s beach volley sina Anthony Arbasto, Jude Garcia, Jaron Requinton, James Buytrago, Philip Bagalay, Ranran Abdilla, Jade Becaldo, Calvin Sarte, James Pecaña at AJ Pareja.
