Finals target ng Ginebra, Phoenix

MANILA, Philippines — Abot-kamay na ng Barangay Ginebra at Phoenix ang tiket sa PBA Finals.

Ang gagawin na lamang nila ay ang talunin ang Meralco at TNT Tropang Giga.

Tangan ang 2-1 bentahe, lalabanan ng Gin Kings ang Bolts nga­yong alas-3:45 ng hapon kasunod ang upakan ng Fuel Masters at Tropang Giga sa alas-6:30 ng gabi sa Game Four ng kani-kanilang semifinals series sa 2020 PBA Philippine Cup sa Angeles University Foundation Gym sa Angeles, Pampanga.

“It’s going to be r­eally hard to close them out,” sabi ni Ginebra head coach Tim Cone sa Meralco. “They got a great coach over there who’s also been through these kinds of wars and they got a young, hungry core that’s listening to him.”

Tinalo ng Gin Kings ang Bolts sa Game Three, 91-84, noong Linggo para kunin ang 2-1 abante sa kanilang best-of-five semis showdown.

Hangad ng Ginebra ang kanilang pang-27 PBA Finals appearances  habang determinado ang Meralco ni mentor Norman Black na makapu­wersa ng Game Five.

“We must play better on both ends of the court and we must bring a high energy level,” wika naman ni Black.

Sa ikalawang laro, umaasa ang Phoenix na masisibak nila ang TNT para sa inaasam na kauna-unahang PBA Finals stint.

“If we can go to the finals, and inspire a lot of people, that’s where we’re headed,” sabi ni Fuel Masters’ coach Topex Robinson na tinakasan ang Tropang Giga sa Game Three, 92-89, para sa kanilang 2-1 abante sa serye.

Aminado naman si TNT bench tactician Bong Ravena na nagkakaproblema sila sa endgame.

“Execution lang sa depensa at opensa sa endgame. We just have to get over that hump, finish the game,” ani Ravena.

Kung mananalo ang Bolts at Tropang Giga laban sa Gin Kings at Fuel Masters ay maglalaro sila sa Game Five sa Biyernes.
