3x3 team maghahanda na para sa OQT

MANILA, Philippines — Makakapagsimula na ang Philippine 3x3 basketball team ng kanilang paghahanda para sa Tokyo Olympics sa susunod na taon.

Sinabi ni Eric Altamarino, commissioner ng Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas kahapon na nabigyan na rin ng go-signal ang 3x3 ng IATF na makapag-practice tulad ng 5x5 basketball para sa kanilang paglahok sa Olympic Qualifying Tournament  (OQT) na nakatakda sa May 26-30 sa Graz, Austria  sa susunod na taon.

“We can now start preparations for the 3x3 OQT,” ani Altamirano.

Ayon kay Altamirano,  puwede nang mag-practice sina Joshua Munzon at Alvin Pasaol  na bahagi ng national team na sasabak sa OQT kasama ang Chooks-to-Go pool.

Ang iba pang miyembro ng national pool na sina CJ Perez at Mo Tautuaa ay ‘di pa puwedeng mag-practice kasama sina Pasaol at Munzon dahil kailangan muna nilang mag-focus sa kanilang mother teams matapos payagan ang pro-basketball na mag-practice.

“Europe has started to play as early as last month. With the recent decision, we have time to catch up with them,” sabi pa ni Altamirano na nagsabing kailangang mahigpit na sundin ang government protocols kabilang ang dalawang swab tests.
