SEA Games participants inaasahang dadagsa

MANILA, Philippines — Ngayong buwan pa lamang ay umabot na sa halos 11,000 ang bilang ng application para sa accreditation ng mga atleta at opisyales mula sa iba’t ibang sports ang natanggap tatlong buwan bago ang opening ceremonies ng 30th Southeast Asian Games.

Ayon kay Alona Quintos, ang director of accreditation and uniforms, humigit-kumulang sa 35,000 ang inaasahang makikilahok sa 2019 SEA Games habang papalapit ang accreditation deadline.

Itinakda ng Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee ang deadline sa Setyembre 30.

Umabot na sa 9,552 ang na-screen, habang 8,213 personnel ang bi-nigyan ng access sa nasabing 11-nation sportsfest na idaraos sa New Clark City sa Tarlac, Subic at Metro Manila sa Nobyembre 30 hanggang Disyembre 11.

 “We are closely coordinating with the security department to ensure that everyone who gets accredited have cleared all security protocols,’’ wika ni Quintos.

Magtatapos ang pag-imprenta ng pre-valid accreditation cards (PVAC) ng 11 national Olympic committees sa katapusan ng buwan.

Inihayag din ni Quintos na halos 1,500 journalists, photo journalists, videographers at broadcast personnel ang bubuo sa covering media.

“We have set up a specific lane for every client group such as media, athletes and officials, etc. We want to make the experience of getting an accreditation as easy and comfortable as possible,’’ paliwanag ni Quintos.

Ang World Trade Center sa Pasay City ang magiging Main Accreditation Center para sa mga sports na lalaruin sa Manila at Southern Luzon, habang ang ASEAN Convention Center ang magiging clusters sa Clark at Subic. Magsisimula ang operas-yon ng Main Accreditation Center sa Nob. 20.
