De Leon, Madayag, Tolentino balik-PVL

MANILA, Philippines — Matapos tulungan ang Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles na nakawin ang korona sa season 81 ng UAAP women’s volleyball, magbabalik-aksyon na sina Bea de Leon, Maddie Madayag at Kat Tolentino.

Sina De Leon, Madayag at Tolentino ang babandera sa tropa na Choco Mucho na isa mga bagong koponan na sasabak sa Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference na papalo na sa susunod na buwan.

Mismong ang organi-zer ng liga na Sports Vision ang nagkumpirma tungkol sa development na ito.

Bukod sa tatlong Lady Eagles, makakasama rin nila ang isa pang Atenis-ta na si Kim Gequillana at ilang manlalaro mula sa nabuwag na United Volleyball Club (UVC) ng Philippine Superliga (PSL) gaya nina Gyra Barroga, Marge Tejada, Bang Pineda, Dancel Dusaran, Shang Berte, Arianna Angustia at Gel Alkuino.

Bahagi rin ng bagong koponang ito ang ace player ng University of Perpetual Help System Dalta na si Cindy Imbo at si Carla Sandoval mula naman sa University of Santo Tomas.

Ang first time UAAP women’s volleyball champion coach at kasalukuyang coach ng Ateneo na si Oliver Almadro ang magme-mentor sa grupo.

“It’s an Open Conference, lahat ng players Filipino, maganda. It will be a good one,” sabi ni Sports Vision president Ricky Palou.

“Even without the imports, I think the top four teams are still the team to beat,” dagdag nito.

Bukod sa Choco Mu-cho, magbabalik-liga rin ang Air Force matapos mawala ng isang conference ngayong taon at susubok din ngayon sa liga na Chef Classic na hahawakan ni coach Nemesio Gavino.
