Knockout ang gusto ni freddie roach

MANILA, Philippines – Walang iba kundi knockout ang nais ni seven-time Trainer of the Year Freddie Roach na maisakatuparan ni eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao kontra kay undefeated American Keith Thurman sa kanilang unification bout sa Hulyo 20 (Hulyo 21 sa Maynila) sa MGM Grand Garden Arena sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Wala pang prediksiyon si Roach kung anong round ito mangyayari subalit kumbinsido ang Hall of Famer na magagawa ito ni Pacquiao.

“I think we’ll knock him out along the way. I think that Manny’s really hungry for a knockout, I’m really hungry for a knockout. We’ve never knocked anyone out at 147, and that’s something we need to do,” ani Roach.

Kumbinsido si Roach dahil sa ipinapakitang dedikasyon ni Pacquiao sa ensayo.

May hugot ika nga matapos ang matitinding pambabastos ni Thurman sa kanya sa press tour kamakailan.

“The fire is there. I love when fighters talk about Manny, because Manny takes it to heart, and he’ll make him pay for it. At the press conference, Thurman said a few things about Manny, and Manny just let it go. I had to open my mouth and say, ‘We’re gonna knock you out.’ I thought I was gonna get a response back, but I didn’t,” ani Roach.

Malalim ang motibasyon ni Pacquiao sa laban kaya’t inihahanda na nito ang magiging hakbang upang mapatumba si Thurman.

“I have to work hard making strategy and focus on speed. I feel motivated because of what he said. We’ll see how the fight ends. I think it’s going to be exciting but we’ll see what happens in the ring,” ani Pacquiao sa Boxing Scene.
