Batang Pinoy National Finals iho-host ng Puerto Princesa

MANILA, Philippines — Iginawad ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang hosting rights ng Batang Pinoy national championships sa Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

Makikipagpulong ang PSC sa mga opisyal ng local government ng Puerto Princesa para i-finalize ang mga detalye ng Memorandum-of-Agreement para sa event na nakatakda mula August 25-31.

“We have happily accepted the offer of Puerto Princesa to host the nationals,” ang kumpirmasyon ni PSC Chairman William Ramirez.

Makikipagkita ang Batang Pinoy national secretariat kay Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo Bayron bukas para ayusin ang hosting.

Tinatayang 10,000 athletes mula sa mga naunang qualifying legs sa Tagum City, Iloilo City at Iligan City ang inaasahang makikibahagi sa national championships at sasali sa 21 sporting events gaya ng archery, arnis, athletics, boxing, dancesport, swimming at iba pa.

Labing-isa pang sports kasama ang billiards, cycling, gymnastics, judo at muay thai ang mga atletang diretso sa athletes finals.

Ang Baguio City at Benguet ang co-host noong nakaraang taon sa Batang Pinoy national championships bagama’t katatapos lamang ng pananalasa ng bagyong Ompong.

Ang Baguio City ang ang itinanghal na overall champion.
