OAKLAND, Cali­for­nia — Sa pagsagupa ng Golden State Warriors sa Portland Trail Bla­zers sa Game One ng Western Confe­rence Finals ay hndi nila makukuha ang serbisyo ng ka­nilang top scorer.

Dahil sa natamong strained right calf ay hin­di maglalaro si Ke­vin Durant sa Games One at Two ng confe­rence fi­nals.

Ang injury ay naku­ha ni Durant sa Game Five ng semis showdown ng Warriors laban sa Houston Rockets.

“Everyone needs to slow down a little bit on the Kevin stuff. He hasn’t even stepped on the floor yet,” sabi ni Golden State head coach Steve Kerr isang araw bago ang Game One.

Ang matinding backcourt tandem naman ni­na Damian Lillard at CJ McCollum katuwang si Seth Curry, ang naka­kabatang kapatid ni Ste­phen, ang babandera pa­ra sa Portland.

“For them, it’s fami­ly and parents who supported us all the way through the ranks,” ani Ste­phen sa pagsagupa ni­ya kay Seth. “Now to be in a situation like this where I guess it’s tech­nically a win-win for them, they’re going to the finals regardless, but it’s kind of crazy to think we’re all on this stage and get to play in front of our family and just the amount of happiness and joy that comes with that is crazy.”

Nauna nang winalis ng Warriors ang Blazers sa first round dalawang season na ang nakaka­raan.

Malaking tulong sa­na para sa Golden State kung makakalaro si big man DeMarcus Cou­sins.

Ipinagpapatuloy ni Cou­sins ang pagpapa­galing sa kanyang torn left quadriceps muscle na nalasap niya sa Game Two sa first round ng bak­bakan ng Warriors at Los Angeles Clippers.
