Maaga ang Pasko ng mga medalists ng Asian Para Games at ni Tio

MANILA, Philippines — Matatanggap na ng mga Asian Para Games and Youth Olympic Games medalists ang kanilang incentives ngayon sa Malacañang Palace.

Tatanggap si Asian Para Games most bemedalled swimmer Ernie Gawilan at YOG kiteboarding silver medalist Christian Tio kasama ng iba pang medalists at coaches ngP28,050,000.00 mula sa Philippine Sports Commission, dahil sa R.A. 10699 na kilalang “National Athletes and Coaches Benefits and Incentives Act.”

“The instructions of the President is inclusi-vity in sports. This is one good proof that we have started the journey along that road,” sabi ni PSC Chairman William Ramirez na mangunguna sa mga sports heroes kasama si Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea sa pagkilala sa mga atleta.

Sinabi ni Philippine Paralympic Committee President Michael Barredo na “our medalists will be the first recipients of the R.A. 10699, in the Asian level. We express our sincerest gratitude to the government and the PSC for its intensive support for our para-athletes.”

Tatanggap si Gawilan ng kabuuang P4 million sa kanyang tatlong gold at 2 silver mula sa 2018 Asian Para Games sa Indonesia noong nakaraang buwan.
