LAS VEGAS — Hindi natapos ni Los Angeles Lakers’ guard Josh Hart ang laro matapos masibak sa kanilang championship game ng Portland Trail Blazers dahil sa pagtuligsa sa mga referees.
Tinalo ng Blazers ang Lakers, 91-73 para angkinin ang tropeo ng NBA Summer League kung saan hinirang si Hart bilang Most Valuable Player.
“I don’t go for individual accolades,” sabi ng 23-anyos na si Hart, nagtala ng 12 points sa title game. “That’s never been a reason why I played this game. I play this game to win. That’s the biggest thing, I came here to win, I came here to dominate.”
Nagpasabog si Hart ng 37 points at 9 rebounds sa double-overtime win ng Lakers laban sa Cleveland Cavaliers sa semifinals.
Ayon kay Lakers president Magic Johnson, isa si Hart sa mapapasama sa starting line-up sa regular season kasama si free agent signee LeBron James.
“I really love Josh for that because he fought to continue to play cause he’s a competitor and he’s a winner and we’re trying to build a championship mentality throughout our organization and we talk about those things every day. And Josh embodied all those things over this time,” sabi ni Lakers summer league coach Miles Simon kay Hart.
