DiVincenzo puwedeng maging NBA top draft pick
NEW YORK - Plano ni Donte DiVincenzo na magpasikat at subukan ang NBA draft at inaasahan niyang magbabalik siya sa Villanova para sa isa pang season sa collegiate league.
At nangyari ang national championship game kung saan umiskor si DiVincenzo ng 31 points para sa panalo ng Villanova Wildcats laban sa Michigan.
Ito ang dahilan kung bakit siya naimbitahan sa NBA Draft Combine.
Maaaring matawag ang kanyang pangalan sa first round sa NBA Draft sa Biyernes (Manila time) na titiyak sa kanyang ma-laking kontrata.
Nagtala si DiVincenzo ng mga averages na 13.4 points, 4.8 rebounds at 3.5 assists per game sa nakaraang US NCAA season.
“When I get into a system, I’m so worried about the team,” sabi ni DiVincenzo. “I’m not worried about the numbers. I’m just worried about one, winning and two, the impact I have on a team whether it’s in the locker room or on the court. If I can do anything to help the team, then I’ll do that. That’s what I tried to do at Villanova this past year.”
Sa Draft Combine ay nagtala si DiVincenzo ng mahusay na shooting ability at iba pang abilidad na nagpabilib sa mga NBA scouts.
“He works his butt off and he deserves all this,” wika ni dating Villanova guard Jalen Brunson,
Itinuring si DiVincenzo na isang special player.
