Diniskaril ng Meralco Bolts ang hangad na back-to-back win ng Dyip matapos tangayin ang 116-103 panalo sa 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup kahapon sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Humakot si 2016 PBA Best Import Arinze Onuaku ng 30 points, 19 rebounds at 4 blocks para sa 1-0 record ng Meralco kasabay ng paghuhulog sa Columbian sa 1-1 baraha.

Nabigo ang Dyip na maduplika ang impresibong 126-98 paggupo sa Blackwater Elite noong Linggo.

“I’ve been in the hospital for four days and to come out here and play like this is such a blessing. My teammates played really well,” sabi ni Onuaku. “We just have to be tough on defense and coach (Norman Black) talked about that during the halftime.”

Ipinoste ng Columbian ang 10-point lead, 41-31, mula sa three-point shot ni Carlo Lastimosa sa 8:32 minuto ng second period bago nakabangon ang Meralco sa second quarter para maagaw ang 57-56 bentahe sa halftime.

Tinangay ng Bolts ang 85-79 bentahe sa gitna ng third period hanggang iposte ang 11-point lead, 101-90, sa 6:02 minuto ng final canto mula sa ikaapat na triple ni Niño Canaleta.

Tuluyan nang gumuho ang pag-asa ng Dyip na makadikit nang isalpak ni Jared Dillinger ang isang tres para sa kanilang 108-96 kalamangan sa huling 1:41 minuto ng bakbakan.
