Kultura at tradisyon papagitna sa pagdaraos ng IP Games

TAGUM CITY, Da­vao del Norte – Itatampok ang mayamang kul­­tura at tradisyon sa pag­daraos ng Philippine Sports Commission sa Indigenous Peoples (IP) Games sa Davao del Nor­te Sports and Tou­rism Complex sa Bi­yer­nes at Sabado dito.

“There is much to look forward to in the IP Games. The Davao del Norte launching is just the beginning of a se­ries of IP Games and IP Forum to be held in dif­ferent parts of the country,” sabi ni PSC Commissioner Charles Ray­mond A. Maxey, pi­namunuan kamakailan ang PSC-Philippine Sports Ins­titute Consultative Mee­ting and Grassroots Coa­ching sa Panabo Ci­ty.

Ang paglalatag sa IP Games ay mula sa pa­kikipagtulungan at ko­or­dinasyon ng PSC sa mga Local Government Units (LGUs) ng Davao del Norte, Bukidnon, Lake Sebu, South Cota­bato, Ifugao, Benguet at Nueva Vizcaya at sa Na­tional Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP).

 Ang Davao del Norte edition ay magkakaroon ng humigit-kumulang sa 300 Ata-Manobo, Sama, Dibabawon, Mandaya, Mangguangan at Man­sa­ka delegates mula sa New Corella, Talaingod, Carmen, Panabo City, Sto. Tomas, Asuncion, Ka­palong, Tagum City, Du­jali, Island Garden Ci­ty of Samal at San Isidro.

“We are all set for the IP Games,” dagdag pa ni Maxey sa inaasahang matagumpay na event.

Ang IP Games, ha­ngad mapreserba ang mga traditional games ng IP, ay magtatampok sa Kadang-Kadang sa Bagol, Kadang-Ka­dang sa Bamboo, Lu­bok sa Humay, Butong sa Lubid, Pana, Bangkaw, Basket sa Li­kod, 4x100m event at 100-meter run, IP Forum at photo contest.
