BOSTON – Umarangkada ang nagdedepensang Golden State Warriors sa kanilang best start na 24-0 matapos takasan ang Boston Celtics, 124-119, sa double overtime.

Tumapos si Stephen Curry na may 38 points sa kabila ng pinakamasama niyang shooting performance sa season.

Nagdagdag siya ng 11 rebounds at 8 assists pa­ra pamunuan ang Warriors.

“Exhausting, but it was fun,” sabi ni Curry. “Ob­viously, it was nice to get the win. But we had to claw our way to it.”

Isama na ang apat na sunod na panalo sa naka­raang season, may 28-0 karta ngayon ang Golden State sa regular-season para basagin ang kanilang pagkakatabla sa 2012-13 Miami Heat para sa second-longest winning streak sa league history.

Ang Los Angeles Lakers ay nagtala ng 33-game winning streak noong 1971-72.

Lalabanan ng Warriors ang Milwaukee Bucks sa Sabado para kumpletuhin ang kanilang seven-game road trip.

Wala pang NBA team na nakapagtala ng 7-0 sa isang single road trip.

Nagposte si Curry ng 9-of-27 fieldgoal shoo­ting na pinakamasama niya matapos noong Game 2 ng kanilang NBA Finals ng Cleveland Cavaliers.

Ngunit tumikada naman siya ng 6-for-13 clip sa 3-point range at ang perpektong 14-of-14 sa free throw line.

“He can score in so many different ways,” sabi ni interim coach Luke Walton kay Curry. “They did a phenomenal job on him and he scored 38. But that’s how superstars are in this league.”

Nagdagdag naman si Draymond Green ng 24 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists at 5 blocked shots, habang nag-ambag si Andre Iguodala ng 13 mar­kers at 10 boards para sa panalo ng Warriors.

Naglaro ang Golden State nang wala sina inju­red guard Klay Thompson at Harrison Barnes.
