21 Phl Junior jins sasabak sa World Jr. Taekwondo c’ships

MANILA, Philippines - Kakatawanin ng 21 junior fighters ang Philippines/SMART National team para sa 2014 World Junior Taekwondo Championships at sa world qualifying tournament ng Nanjing Youth Olympic Games sa Marso 17-27 sa New Taipei City, Taiwan.

Ang mga miyembro ng koponan ay sina finweight Christian Mark Duntugan, flyweight Gian Carlo Gutierrez, bantamweight Ryel Joshua Ramirez, fea-therweights Aaron James Galita at King Philip Pineda, lightweight Alfred Jason Abanto, welterweight Gian Francis Rubio, light middleweight John Christian Mapalo, middleweight Michael Laurence Licudine, light heavyweight John Michael Agno at heavyweight Joel Felipe Alejandro sa men’s division.

Kabilang sa women’s class sina finweight Irene Therese Bermejo, flyweight Cleio Marie Banez, bantamweight Colleen Heria, featherweight Stephanie Oslo, lightweight Leslie Marie Agyamoc, welterweight Ma. Kaye Shannelle Romuar, light middleweight Gabrielle Hernandez, middleweight Bea Muriel Go, light heavyweight Francesca Arianne Agojo at heavyweight Brighty Rio Marie Salazar.

Kabuuang 70 bansa, kasama ang Korea, China, France, Spain, Iran, Mexico at United States, ang lalahok sa nasabing world competition.

Sa 9th World Junior Championships noong Abril ng 2012 ay kumuha ang mga Pinoy taekwondo jins ng tatlong bronze medals.
