“I can finally share this story because i guess i’ve gotten over what happend already.
“I wasn’t in this video because i was somewhere far behind Rich and Toby. I fell off somewhere in this beautiful place, more than 3,500 meters high up in the mountains. The area where i fell off has a bunch of snow i was able to dig my hands into it and stopped myself from slipping off the mountain. My instinct told me to let go of the sledge. I saw my sledge go down in less than 30 seconds. And the next thing that happened i couldn’t see it anymore. That could’ve been me. Couldn’t be found! God knows how scary that thought was. It was matter of sledge or my life for me. Hahaha!,” umpisa ng kanyang kuwento.
Gumapang daw talaga siya para makaakyat habang tinulungan siya ng dalawang skiers para makabalik sa kanyang sledge.
“I chose my life, obviously and let go of the sledge. I literally crawled my way up. And there were 2 skiers that passed by who helped me get back on the track. I really believe that was God’s angels lending me some help.
“Sabi ko talaga “NOT TODAY, LORD!” I can laugh it off now. But that probably was the scariest moment of my life. I was too embarrassed to say i fell off and lost my sledge from people passing by, asking me if i was ok. Good thing the view was amazing.. i only focused on that so i could hold back my tears. I felt really helpless. When Rich finally saw me, holding back my tears because i didn’t want Toby to see me crying, shaking… i’m pretty sure he already guessed what happened, hugged me & told me “i’m just glad you’re safe.”
“The sledge cost us 200 Swiss Francs. I was telling myself while paying for it, “you can have my 200 francs. I’m glad i have my life.” Hahahaha!”
Pero aniya hindi ‘yun naging dahilan upang matakot siya. Sumubok ulit siya, pero nahulog ulit. Buti na lang hindi raw siya iniwan ng mister niya.
“The next day, i decided to do it again! FACE YOUR FEARS! Sabi ko. Haha! That day, i fell off the track. Not once, but twice! On a much steeper and faster slopes. We thought it would easier. But NO, we were wrong! Good thing, that time around, Rich made sure he wouldn’t leave me. Toby left us and went ahead sledging by himself. The slopes are high and steeper and has sharp curves and turns. Can you imagine what Rich had to go through that day? He couldn’t decide whether to leave me or look for our son bec we couldn’t see him anymore after a few mins. Guess Rich was scared to lose his wife and stayed with me. LOL. We walked more than half of the track that is 30-45mins long by sledge. On our way down, we were constantly calling our son’s name! Anyway, my son’s a real cowboy. We found him waiting for us. The only thing he said was, “What the heck took you so long?” Haha! I laughed in tears. Thank God we’re safe,” buong kuwento niya.
