Catriona, kinumpirmang hindi niya makakasama ang ibang winner sa Miss U!  

Kinumpirma ni Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray na imbitado siya sa coronation night ng Miss Universe Philippines sa April 30.

Ginawang issue kasi ng maraming netizen ang hindi pagkakasali ni Queen Cat sa mga maghu-host ng MUP 2022 na Miss Universe winners na sina Pia Wurtzbach, Iris Mittenaere at Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. Kasama naman sa judging panel si Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India.

“I do believe I just received an invitation yesterday with my management. Hopefully, I would love to be there if it doesn’t coincide with any other schedule because yeah, I think it would be great that Miss Universe is co­ming here, Haraanz. And I would love to meet her in person. Of course, Iris and Demi who I’ve met previously as well, will be here so that would be great if we could all be together,” sey ni Queen Cat.

Makarating man o hindi si Catriona sa coronation night ng MUP 2022, nagbigay naman siya ng advice sa contestants ngayong taon.

Unang-una raw ay kailangang mag-focus sila sa kanilang personal journey sa Miss Universe Philippines pageant at huwag silang magpapaapekto sa anumang negatibong komento. At pangalawa, mas maging involved din daw sila sa kanilang advocacy, manalo o matalo sila sa pageant.

“At the end of the day, I’m such a huge believer that you do represent your country but you also represent who you are because you’re the one up on that stage, you’re speaking from your knowledge, your experiences. I mean, that would be unique to me, and I would love to see our candidates embrace what is unique to them, their journey to be unique to them.

“They should be role models or people who are using their influence within the community for something. That could be through, you know, raising their voice for something that they believe in or working with an NGO or a group that they feel needs more awareness or whatever it could be.

“But I love seeing women who really use their platforms for others. And I feel like that’s what us, Miss Universe, do as our job. So that’s what I would love to see in the candidates even before the competition, to see how they utilize that platform. Because it would give me sort of a positive impression on how they would go on and use the platform of the title of Miss Universe.”

Andrea, sinalubong ang co-stars mula sa Argentina

Nanguna sa welcoming committee si Andrea Torres nang dumating sa bansa ang crew ng international film na Pasional mula sa Argentina. Kung matatandaan, nag-shoot for two weeks sa Argentina ng mga eksena niya sa naturang pelikula si Andrea.

Nasa bansa ang naturang film crew para mag-shoot naman ng mga eksena sa Pilipinas. Kasama na dumating ay ang leading man ni Andrea na si Marcelo Melingo na isang kilalang aktor sa Argentina.

“Welcome to the Philippines #PasionalLaPelicula !!!” post ni Andrea sa kanyang Instagram.

Nag-post din si Marcelo sa kanyang Instagram kasama si Andrea: “My reunion with the great @andreaetorres at @gmanetwork. Happy to start this second stage of filming, this time from the Philippines.”

In Pasional, Andrea plays Mahalia, a tango dancer and a jury member for the International Tango Dance Festival while Marcelo Melingo will play a biologist named Norberto.

The movie is a co-production with Malevo Films, GMA Network, producer Ferdinand Dimadura, and associate producer Agustín Vargas Clerico.

Fast and Furious 10 star Vin Diesel, winelcome ang captain marvel star

Kasama sa cast ng Fast and Furious 10 ang Oscar winner at Captain Marvel star na si Brie Larson.

Si Vin Diesel ang nag-welcome kay Larson at pinost niya ito sa kanyang Instagram: “You see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to yourself, ‘That’s Captain Marvel.’ Clearly, there is love and laughter in this image. Bukod kay Larson, makakasama rin sa movie si Aquaman star Jason Momoa. Magbabalik din ang iba pang cast members na sina Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang and Charlize Theron.

Sa May 2023 ang cinematic release ng Fast and Furious 10.
