Carla hindi nagamit ang pinag-aralan!

Kung nataon pala, Salve A., na hindi na-tempt si Carla Abellana na mag-artista, walang kasalang magaganap sa kanila ni Tom Rodriguez on October 23.

Well, ganito ang kuwento. Matalinong estudyante si Carl, whose parents, of course, are former Seiko Films contract talents, Rey “PJ” Abellana at Rea Reyes.

Carla was a consistent honor student ng De La Salle University.

In fact, when she finished her degree in Bachelor of Arts major in Psychology, she emerged cum laude.

She was focused on taking up another course, when she was offered the title role in Rosalinda, a remake of a Mexican telenovela, ng GMA 7.

Add to this na maganda rin ang ibabayad per taping sa kanya. Na, of course, hindi mapapantayan kung magtatrabaho siya as a new graduate.

Rosalinda, directed by Don Michael Perez, co-starred Carla with Geoff Eigenmann, Ariel Rivera at Gary Estrada. Ipinalabas ang Rosalinda year 2009.

Go naman tayo kay Tom (Rodriguez), whose real name is Bartolome Alberto Mott. A Filipino model, he grew up abroad.

Napunta lang uli siya ng Pilipinas nang sumali siya sa reality show na Pinoy Big Brother.

Kaya, for a time, naging talent siya ng Kapamilya.

Lucky for him na naka-team up niya si Carla, when lumipat siya ng GMA.

The rest, sabi nga, is history.

Sheryl at Jeric, uulit

Kung sa katatapos na action series, Agimat ng Agila, guest talent lang si Sheryl Cruz, since ‘pinatay’ kaagad ang karakter niya bilang asawa ni Senator Bong Revilla, well, dito sa Book 2 ng Prima Donnas, full length siya.

At mayroon siyang leading man, si Jeric Gonzales. Hindi pa gaanong tukoy kung ano ang role ni Sheryl, although tiyak nang malimit niyang makakaeksena ang tatlong bagets ng series, na sina Jillian Ward, Sofia Pablo at Althea Ablan.

Marian, walang pinanghinayangan

Though busy as parents to their two growing kids, Zia, 5, and Ziggy, 2, Dingdong Dantes says siya at si Marian (Rivera) make sure they have time for the two of them only.

No need to tell na individually, busy silang dalawa with their respective endeavor.

Dingdong, with his weekly series, Amazing Earth. And Marian, to play full-time mother muna kina Zia at Ziggy.

Walang panghihinayang kang maririnig kay Ma­rian sa desisyon niya to give up the title role in First Yaya. Which emerged a big hit during its nearly six-month run as a series.

The series would have team her up with Gabby Concepcion, na gumanap bilang presidente ng Pilipinas. Nalaman nga raw kasi ni Marian na ‘lock-in’ ang taping, which means matagal na ‘di niya makakapiling ang mga anak. Kaya, she begged off sa series.
