Oscars wala nang pag-asang matuloy?!

How sad, Salve A., if true na next year’s Oscars, na kilala rin sa buong mundo bilang Academy Awards sa Hollywood films ay magkakaroon ng postponement, if not cancellation. Yes, due to the pandemic, the COVID-19.

Kung sabagay, kahit dito sa atin, wala kaming naririnig na magkakaroon ng awards night for their yearly Star Awards for Movies ang Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC). Neither the FAMAS (Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences), considered the oldest film awards giving body in local showbiz. Nauna nang nag-announced ng cancellation ang The EDDYS ng Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd).

Kaya, maliit na ang tsansang magkakaroon ng Metro Manila Filmfest (MMFF), unless the Manila Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), na siyang may pasimuno ng film event na ito, held every December, ay mag-decide na ituloy pa rin.

Kim nakaresbak na sa bashers

Bawing-bawi na si Kim Chiu sa pamba-bash na kanyang tinamo via the social media, dala ng kanyang mahabang pangangatuwiran, kung bakit ‘must’ na everyone stays at home lang due to the COVID-19 virus, with her full track of the song, Bawal Lumabas, na kinanta as if it’s a classroom song.

Love Thy Woman, trending sana 

Speaking of Kim, happy siya to see Christopher de Leon, looking good and well, matapos nitong mai-quarantine, due to the COVID-19 virus.

Hanggang ngayon according to Boyet (Christopher’s pet name), wala siyang ideya how he was afflicted with the virus.

Ipinagpapasalamat na lang niya na hindi nahawa sa kanya ang kanyang actress-wife na si Sandy Andolong. Nor any of his co-stars in the series, Love Thy Woman, who of course, include Kim.

Kim plays ‘anak sa labas’ daughter ni Boyet . Ang kanyang ina naman ay ginagampanan ni Sunshine Cruz.

Trending sana ang Love Thy Woman na directed by Jeffrey Jeturian, Andoy Ranay at Jerry Lopez Sineneng kung hindi lang ‘lockdown’ ang ABS-CBN dahil sa franchise problem ng network.

Worried si Mother Lily for her apo, si Kristen, na stranded sa New York at hindi makauwi dala nga na walang flight.

She is asking for prayers.

According to foreign reports, isa ang New York sa State ng America na maraming afflicted with the COVID-19 virus.
