Iza nakakaranas ng post-traumatic disorder

Matapos gumaling sa COVID-19, inamin ni Iza Calzado na nakakaramdam siya ngayon ng survivors guilt.

“It hits you, eh, na parang how come I survived and they did not,” ani Iza sa panayam with GMA-7.

Ayon sa report ng GMA-7, ang survivors guilt ay isang sintomas ng post-traumatic disorder na nararanasan ng mga taong nabuhay sa life-threatening situations pero hindi ang mga kasabay niya.

“And then you see the number of deaths, umiiyak talaga ako,” pahayag pa ni Iza.

She added, “people are losing loved ones in three days, di ba, ‘yung parang one minute, they’re there, the next, they’re not. I know what that’s like.”

Kung sana lang daw ay puwede niyang bigyan din ng energy ang mga kasabayan niya.

“I kind of wish that I was able to give some of my energy to the others, perhaps, meron kaming… we could have survived this together,” sey pa niya.

Nakahandang tumulong si Iza na magbigay ng plasma para sa experiment na isinasagawa ng Philippine General Hospital na mahanap ang gamot sa COVID-19.

“Hindi pa ako puwedeng magbigay kasi hindi pa ako 14 days from my first negative. After Easter. I’m already in touch with PGH,” she said.
