Yam masusubukan sa solo movie!

Walang dahilan si Yam Concepcion para pagsisihan ang ginawang isang erotic movie, where she did some bold scenes.

Kolehiya pa noon sa isang exclusive school si Yam nang may mag-offer na gawin niya ang pelikula.

Kaya, may reluctance somehow siyang naramdaman to accept the movie, at first.

But too tempting din was the chance that she was to play the lead role. At ang director niya ay si Erik Matti plus ang producer ay ang Viva Films.

Ang kanya namang follow up project na Dugong Buhay ay may pagka-action, at kung may mga sexy scenes siya, simple lang.

Playing her leading man was former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) champ, Ejay Falcon, na naging boyfriend niya for a time.

But what convinced everyone Yam had the making of an actress was her portrayal of a two-times in the series, Halik, where noted actor Jericho Rosales, no less, played her husband.

“Na-puwersa akong to give my all as an actress, dahil na rin sa walang tigil na encouragement ni Echo (Jericho) at ng aming director na si Cathy Camarillo.”

Moreover, susog pa ni Yam, ang gagaling ng co-stars niya sa Halik, kabilang na si Amy Austria na gumanap na mother in-law niya, Yen Santos, Sam Milby, Romnick Sarmenta at Cris Villanueva. Kasama rin sa nasabing serye si Jane de Leon, who has been tapped to play the remake ng Darna.

Of Yam, she is one of the most in demand performers sa Kapamilya actresses. After Halik, she was tapped to play opposite Joseph Marco in the iWant digital series, Uncoupling.

Tomorrow, January 22, her first solo horror flick, Night Shift, opens in theaters nationwide. Directed by Yam Laranas, the film has him playing assisstant to a pathologist (played by Michael de Mesa). Kaya, may mga pagkakataong napapaligiran siya ng mga cadaver.

At may mga pagkakatoan din ang tingin niya ay magka-come to life ang mga cadaver.

Nagsimula na rin si Yam sa taping ng bago niyang series sa ABS-CBN, ang Love Thy Woman, with Kim Chiu and Xian Lim as her co-stars.

And there is a possibility as well na gagawa siya ng series with Star Creatives, producer ng ngayo’y hinahangaang bagong teleserye, Make It With You, starring Enrique Gil at Liza Soberano.

Ina nabaitan kay Julia

Naging malapit daw si Ina Raymundo sa kanyang co-star na si Julia Barretto sa horror flick na Block Z, showing in theaters nationwide ngayong January 29.

Halos ka-edad daw kasi si Julia ng panganay niyang anak na babae, ani Ina. At kinakitaan daw niya ng kabaitan si Julia, since marami-rami rin silang eksena together. Pati na raw si Joshua Garcia.

Ina describes her role sa Block Z as very demanding, as she plays a zombie character. Marami raw siyang napanood na Zombie movie, but direk Mikhail Red daw requested for her to, well, “overdo” her role, para mas maging nakakatakot ang kanyang “dating.”

All the while raw that she was doing her scenes, Julia was around. And she sounded daw sincere, ani Ina, pagkatapos nitong mapanood ang eksena.

Block Z, aside from Julia and Joshua, and, of course, Ina, also stars Dimples Romana and younger Kapamilya talents ­McCoy de Leon, Maris Racal, Yves Flores at Myrtle Sarrosa.

Of Ina nga pala, asked if she would allow her children to watch Block Z, her quick reply: “Pinanonood nila lahat ng pelikula at TV shows ko. And that of course, include my Husband (Brian Paternak, a financial expert).”

They were married in 2003.
