And we don’t want naman people to believe that... and we don’t want people to go on talking about that and believing kung hindi naman talaga totoo,” umpisa niya.

“Si Billy kasi ay mapatol sa comments. Hahaha. If somebody has to talk, I guess tama rin naman na i-answer din niya,” sabi pa ni Coleen sa interview kahapon pagkatapos ng presscon ng pelikula nila ni Edgar Allan Guzman na Mia na showing beginning January 15 sa mga sinehan nationwide. Dinirek ni Veronica Velasco ang Mia.

“Mukha ba akong malungkot.

“But I just felt I needed this time of silence also for myself, and I really needed to take a step back and reassess everything in my life. But it doesn’t mean that I’m not happy. Actually, I really feel that I’m at my happiest right now. And Billy is really helping me with that,” pahayag pa niya.

Dahil doon, pinaalalahanan siya na isa ‘yung violation sa Flag law at puwede siyang pagbayarin ng P5,000 to P20,000 at puwede siyang makulong ng more than a year.

“In response to complaints sent to the National Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) reading a video uploaded on a social media platform showing a man dancing while the National Anthem, was being played, public notice is hereby given, that, pursuant to Sec.43 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 8491 or the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines, which the NHCP is mandated to implement, ‘When the National Anthem is played… as a sign of respect, all persons shall stand as attention… shall execute a salute by placing their right palam over their chests…[and that] the National Anthem shall not be played or sung for mere creation, amusement or entertainment purposes’ except on occasions such as international, national, and local competitions.

“Dancing to the National Anthem as shown in the video abovementioned, therefore constitutes a violation of the Flag law.

“Moreover, the said law provides that ‘failure or refusal to observe the provisions of this Act; and any violation of the corresponding rules and regulations issued by the Office of the President shall, after proper notice and hearing, be penalized by public censure (Section 48).

Further failure or refusal to observe the Act may lead to penalty fine of 5,000 to 20,000 Pesos, or imprisonment of not more than one year.

“This notice is given to the public to prevent future violations, in a similar manner, of the law”.
