Monday, October 28, director-producer Paul Soriano will be in Tokyo, Japan for the 32nd Tokyo International Filmfest (TIFF), where his film, Mañanita, will be competing.
Based on a story and script ng kilalang international director and producer din, Lav Diaz, starring sa Mañanita si Bela Padilla.
Bela plays a sniper na umuwi sa kanilang bayan sa Davao para ipaghiganti ang hindi inaasahang pagkamatay ng kanyang mga magulang.
Asked if Bela, who has no leading man in Mañanita, is his one and only choice for the role, direk said that he has long been a tagahanga ni Bela. And in fact, she is writing a story and script which he will soon produce for his TEN17P, his own film firm.
Mañanita is a co-production between his company and Viva Films.
