Protocols para sa bubble training NSAs ang magsusumite— Fernandez

Para sa mga olympic hopefuls

MANILA, Philippines  — Mismong ang mga National Sports Associations (NSAs) na may mga Olympic Games hopefuls ang kailangang magsumite ng kanilang gagamiting health at safety protocols para sa pinaplanong bubble training.

Ang nasabing proto-cols ng mga NSAs ay ipapasa sa Technical Working Group (TWG) na binubuo ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Games and Amusements Board (GAB) at Department of Health (DOH) at aapruba­han naman ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

“It’s going to be the NSAs who is going to draw up their training plans that will be submitted to the working group and for approval of the IATF,” wika ni PSC Commissioner Ramon Fernandez. “Hindi naman mahihirapan iyang ma-approve ng IATF.”

Sa gitna ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic ay planong ipasok ng PSC ang mga atletang tumatarget ng tiket sa 2021 Olympic Games sa Tokyo, Japan sa isang bubble training sa Inspire Sports Academy sa Calamba, Laguna.

“Once you put in the athletes in a bubble wala nang puwedeng pumunta doon, wala nang puwedeng pumasok. walang puwedeng lumabas. Sila lang talaga ang nandoon para maiwasan natin ‘yung hawahan,” ani Fernandez.

Sina pole vaulter Ernest John Obiena, gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo at bo­xers Eumir Felix Marcial at Irish Magno ang mayroon pa lamang Olympic berth.

Ang mga NSAs na nagpahayag ng interes sa nasabing plano ng PSC ay ang boxing, taekwondo at karate.

“When other NSAs decide that they want also to go there, that can also be arrange,” sabi ni Fernandez. “Initially, while we are still in this situation prio­rity natin ang mga Olympic qualifiers and those who are trying to qualify.”
