PESO isa nang opisyal na NSA

MANILA, Philippines  — Isa nang National Sports Association (NSA) ang esports.

Kinilala ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) ang Philippine Electronic Sports Organization (PESO) bilang opisyal na NSA para sa esports sa bansa.

Nakasaad sa isang certificate noong Oktubre 9 ang pagdedeklara ng POC sa PESO bilang associate member.

“As such, PESO is the sole recognized National Sports Association and governing body for the sport of ESPORTS in the Philippines,” wika ng POC.

Inilunsad ang esports event sa nakaraang 30th Southeast Asian Games kung saan humakot ang mga Pinoy gamers ng tatlong ginto, isang pilak at isang tansong medalya matapos maghari sa Dota 2, Starcraft II at Mobile Legends Bang Bang.

Isinama ang esports sa calendar of events ng 2021 SEA Games na pamamahalaan ng Vietnam.

Ang PESO ay pinamamahalaan ni president Brian Benjamin Lim kasama sina vice-president Eric Redulfin, Secretary-General Jess Tamboboy at Corporate Secretary Michael Gatchalian.

Ang mga member-organizations ng PESO ay ang Bren Esports, Gariath Concepts, Mineski Philippines, The Nationals, PlayBook Esports, Tier One Entertainment, TV5 at TNC Holdings.
