Paghahanda sa olympic qualifying tournament

MANILA, Philippines — Gumagamit ngayon ng isang ‘bubble concept’ ang National Basketball Association (NBA) para sa kanilang restart season bilang pagharap sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

Gumawa rin si national taekwondo jin Pauline Lopez ng sariling ‘bubble’ para makaiwas sa nasabing virus.

“I created this bubble for myself where I go to an area to train and it’s only myself,” wika ng 2019 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist sa kanyang ginagawang pag-eensayo.

Ipinagbabawal pa ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) ang mga contact sports kagaya ng taekwondo kaya sa virtual training nakatutok ngayon si Lopez.

“I ask my conditioning coach  and national team coach to do a virtual training where he would watch me while I train and tell me where I need to do better,” ani Lopez.

Isa ang 23-anyos na taekwondo jin sa mga national athletes na tumatarget ng tiket sa 2021 Olympic Games sa Tokyo, Japan.

Ang iba pa ay sina 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic silver medal winner Hidilyn Diaz ng weightlifting, Nesthy Petecio ng boxing, lady skateboarder Margielyn Didal, judoka Kiyomi Watanabe at karatekas Junna Tsukii at Jamie Lim.

Hangad nilang makasama sa Tokyo Games sina boxers Eumir Felix Marcial at Irish Magno, gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo at pole vaulter Ernest John Obiena.

Sina Marcial at Magno ay nananatili sa bansa  habang  nagsasanay naman sina Yulo at Obiena sa Japan at Italy, ayon sa pagkakasunod.
