Ramirez saludo sa atletang Pinoy

MANILA, Philippines — Makaraan ng tatlong araw sa kumpetisyon, binabati ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman William “Butch” Ramirez ang mga atletang Pinoy na mariing lumalaban para manatili ang bansa sa top spot.

“You are all winners to us! We are riding on this positive wave and continue to hope that we can sustain this good performance,” sabi ni Ramirez sa kanyang mensahe.

Si Ramirez ay ang Chief of Mission sa Team Philippines sa ikalawang pagkakataon, ang una ay noong ginanap din dito sa Pilipinas ang Southeast Asian Games noong 2005 kung saan unang nakamit ng bansa ang overall championship trophy.

“Our Deputy Chefs de Mission have been doing the rounds in their respective clusters to ensure that all requirements of our team are met and that they are given moral, logistical, medical and technical support, “ dagdag ni Ramirez.

Ayon kay Ramirez na mas lalo siyang naniniwala sa mga atletang Filipino kaya hinikayat din ang lahat ng mga Filipino ang patuloy na suporta para sa mga atleta.

“We still have many days of battle ahead of us, but I remain steadfast in my belief in our national team. I know that they are intent on delivering pride and honor for the country,” pahayag ni Ramirez.

“I again enjoin every Filipino, wherever you are in the world, let us all rally behind our national team. Let us continue to support and pray for their continued success! Papugay sa galing ng lahing Pilipino! Laban Atletang Pilipino!,” aniya.
